SPRING-THEMED HINGE CARD
Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a nice and relaxed week. Are you crafting any Spring-themed cards or projects? I’m usually all over the place with my crafts but I do have another Spring card to share. Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a hinge card. This is a fun one and features our Rise and Shine Stamp Set, Floral Watering Can Cutting Die, and Matte Silver Sway Peel-Off Stickers from our March release. I also used papers from a variety of our paper packs, some of our nested cutting dies, peel-off stickers and pearls from the store. Let’s make this card!
These are the products I used on my project which may include affiliate/ad links that earn me a commission at no additional cost to you.

CUT THE CARD BASE & LAYERS
White cardstock:
1. Flat card base: 4-1/4” x 5-1/2”
2. Folded card base layer: 4-1/4” x 4-1/4”
Green paper from the Winter Warmers 6x6 Paper Pack:
1. Panel for flat card base layer: 4-1/4” x 5-1/4”
Patterned paper (floral print) from the Love You 6x6 Specialty Paper Pack:
1. Panel for folded card base layer: 4-1/4” x 4-1/4”
Purple linen paper from the Linen Rainbow 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack:
1. Hinge flap: Use the 7th largest die in the Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies to cut the hinge flap. Score approximately 5/8” inward from the right edge and gently fold on the score line.
2. Panel beneath hinge flap: Use the 8th largest die in the same stitched rectangle die set to cut the panel beneath the hinge flap. You will need to shorten this die cut by about 5/8” for it to fit properly beneath the hinge flap.
ADHERE THE LAYERS
Start by adhering the green paper to the flat card base, leaving about 1/8” margin on each side.
Similarly, adhere the floral patterned paper to the folded card base layer. Open the folded card base (with the fold on the left side) and adhere the 5/8” section on the hinge flap to the underside of the right edge of the folded card base. Next, adhere the entire piece to the flat card base, leaving about 1/2" margin on each side.
This is what your card should look like so far with the folded card base and hinge flap closed.
Adhere the purple linen panel beneath the hinge flap.
ADD THE STAMPING & EMBELLISHMENTS
Use the Floral Watering Can Cutting Die to cut an embellishment from white cardstock. Adhere it to the purple linen panel beneath the hinge flap.
Add embellishing strips cut from the floral and darker green papers used on the front and adhere them to the left side of the inside of the folded card base.
Stamp the inside sentiment from the Rise and Shine Stamp Set in purple ink on white cardstock and cut it with the 6th smallest die in the Stitched Oval Nested Cutting Dies. Adhere it to the inside of the folded card base.
Flag one end of a 1-1/4” x 3-3/4” strip of lighter green paper from the Winter Warmers 6x6 Paper Pack and adhere it to the underside of the hinge flap. I missed taking a photo of this step but you’ll see it in the photo below.
Stamp the front sentiment (also from the Rise and Shine Stamp Set) in purple ink on white cardstock, being sure to leave room to the left of the sentiment for an embellishment. Cut it with the 6th smallest die in the set.
Cut an additional stitched oval from a paper in the Neutrals 6x6 Paper Pack using the 7th smallest die in the set. Adhere this beneath the front sentiment oval and then adhere the piece to the front of the hinge flap.
Stamp a flower (from the Rise and Shine Stamp Set) on a striped patterned paper in the Winter Warmers 6x6 Paper Pack in pink ink, fussy cut it, and add a clear enamel dot to the center. Affix it to the sentiment oval.
Apply strips of the Matte Silver Sway and Pin Stripe Mauve Mirror Peel-Off Stickers to the left and right edges of the flat card base.
COMPLETE THE PROJECT
Add a few white pearls to the front sentiment oval, and your hinge card is complete.
