Sea You Soon: Nautical-Themed Cards
There's something timeless about a nautical theme—the crisp blues, bold reds, and playful seaside imagery evoke relaxation and adventure all at once. Love From Lizi’s To The Beach card kit captures that charm beautifully, and I had so much fun creating these three coastal-inspired cards!

Card 1: Beach Essentials
For this card, I wanted to showcase the fun little beach elements in the kit—flip-flops, a bucket and shovel, and of course, a seagull! I arranged them on stitched circle die cuts over a patterned background featuring more seaside goodies. To create the layout, I used some card layout dies, which helped create a perfectly balanced card design. The layering adds dimension while the deep blue card base ties everything together. The Sea You Soon sentiment banner completes the design with a playful touch!
Card 2: Lighthouse by the Waves
This one gives off classic nautical vibes! I layered a red-striped panel over a soft blue background to frame the detailed lighthouse die-cut. To create contrast, I used an oval frame with swirling waves behind the lighthouse, adding a sense of movement. I used another card layout die set to cut the stitched panel and layering elements, ensuring clean, even edges. A few heart embellishments and the sentiment banner make this the perfect card for someone who loves the sea!
Card 3: Vintage Beach Charm
The third card was inspired by vintage beach postcards. The illustrated beach huts and deck chairs create a charming backdrop, while the retro-styled beach girl die-cut adds personality. I used a 3rd layout die set to cut the stitched and layered rectangles, making it easy to frame all the elements beautifully. The mix of soft blue and bold red enhances the nostalgic feel. I love how this one turned out—so fun and full of summer vibes!
Final Thoughts
This kit was a joy to work with! The coordinating colors, textures, and imagery made it easy to create cohesive designs that bring a little bit of the beach to paper. Using layout die sets helped streamline the die-cutting process and made layering effortless. Whether you're crafting for summer birthdays, travel lovers, or just to send a little sunshine, To The Beach is the perfect kit for creating seaside-inspired cards.
