OH HOLY NIGHT Z-FOLD

OH HOLY NIGHT Z-FOLD

Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! Can you believe we’re on the down-slide to November already? Christmas will be here before you know it, so you better get working on those cards! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for a simple Z-fold that shows off three different patterned papers. This Christmas card featuring papers, cardstock, stickers and dies from the November Festive Tales release. Love, love, love this release – Christmas is my favorite season and I always enjoy creating festive cards and projects. Let’s get started!

These are the products I used on my project:
Cozy Christmas 6x6 paper pack
Festive Tales Specialty Cardstock Bundle (red foil and red glitter)
Cozy Christmas Sticker Sheet
Tower of Gifts die
Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies

CUT CARD BASE & LAYERS

GREEN CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Card base: 5-1/2” x 9-3/4”, scored at 2-1/2” and 5-1/2”

PATTERNED PAPER (ALL FROM COZY CHRISTMAS PAPER PACK):
Front panel (dark green): 2-1/8” x 5-3/8”
Center panel (pink/green solid): 2-7/8” x 5-3/8” (cut two – the second one will be used on the back center section)
Right-hand strip (gifts): 1-1/2” x 5-3/8”

LIGHT PINK CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Background panel: 4-1/8” x 5-3/8”

CREATE FOCAL SENTIMENT & PREPARE INSIDE PANEL

First create the focal sentiment for the front of the card. Die cut a stitched circle using the 9th smallest die in the Love From Lizi Stitched Circle Nested Cutting Dies.

From red foil cardstock in the Festive Tales Specialty Cardstock Bundle, cut another stitched circle using the 8th smallest die in the set and adhere it on top of the green circle.

From the dark green pattern in the Cozy Christmas paper pack, cut another stitched circle using the 7th smallest die in the set and adhere it on top of the red foil circle.

Affix the Oh Holy Night sentiment circle from the Cozy Christmas Sticker Sheet on top of the dark green circle. Set this focal sentiment aside.

Now let’s work on the inside background panel. Die cut the Tower of Gifts directly into the light pink background panel and adhere a small piece of the dark green pattern in the Cozy Christmas paper pack behind the apertures.

Affix your choice of sentiment from the Cozy Christmas Sticker Sheet to the top of the background panel.

ADHERE LAYERS

Mountain-valley fold the card base on the score lines and light burnish with a bone folder. Adhere the dark green pattern to the left-most section and one of the pink/green solid pattern pieces to the center section. Adhere the light pink background panel to the large section and then adhere the strip with the gifts pattern to the right side. I went one step further and adhered a very narrow strip of the red glitter paper in the Festive Tales Specialty Cardstock Bundle to the edge of the patterned paper for a little interest.

Flip the card base over (left to right) and adhere the other pink/green solid pattern to the back center section. This panel will be visible from the front when the card is closed.

ADHERE FOCAL SENTIMENT & COMPLETE PROJECT

Adhere the focal sentiment to the card front and add a few red gemstones.

And one more look at the inside.
