October 24 card kit revisited

I have been having lots of fun using the October Fall Friends Card kit

Here is a peek of the entire kit. I am in LOVE

and the different patterns in the paper.

It really can be used any time of year, not just fall

and there are still some kits available.

Here is a look at my first card that I created

I am thrilled with how this card turned out. It looks

a bit fancy but was super easy.

Here is a quick look at how I made it.

I started buy trimming a 4 1/4 X 11 piece of the navy blue cardstock included in the kit, scored it at 5 1/2 for a top folding card,

next I trimmed a pattern piece of paper to slightly larger than 4 X 5 1/4.

and just layered in the upper half of the patterned piece.

Now for the sentiment, this is where we get fancy :)

I added the sentiment

that was part of the patterned paper to some navy cardstock for a base

and then added pop dots and some of this gold DMC floss (my new obsession!)

added that to my card front,

embellished with some of the AWESOME gold dots from the

and tada!

Here is a look at another card using the sentiment tags in the patterned paper,

this time I added a black glitter tag behind it.

The glitter does not show well on my photo, but it is there.

This kit is good for any time of year

and makes the cutest and easiest card ever!
