LOVE YOU CARD WITH A RAISED FRAME
Hey everybody, happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having an awesome week and it’s getting a little warmer where you are. But if you’re not seeing warmer weather just yet, don’t despair… chilly weather is perfect weather to stay in and craft! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a pretty friendship card with a raised frame that features our Butterfly Wings stamp set and Love You paper pack, both from our new release. I also used some of our glitter cardstock, an additional stamp set, stitched rectangle dies, and pin stripe peel-off stickers. The raised frame sure packs a punch, so let’s make this card!

2. Love You 6x6 Specialty Paper Pack
3. Pastel Glitter A5 Specialty Cardstock Bundle
4. Making Memories Stamp Set
5. Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies
6. Pin Stripe Mauve Mirror Peel-Off Stickers
CUT CARD BASE & LAYERS
Light purple cardstock:
1. Card base: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" on long side
Patterned paper from the Love You 6x6 Specialty Paper Pack
1. Front layering panel: 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"
2. Inside embellishing strip: 3/4" x 3-3/4"
Medium purple shimmer cardstock:
1. Inside layering panel: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
2. Inside narrow embellishing strip: 1/16" x 3-3/4"
Lightweight white cardstock:
1. Inside layering panel: 3-3/4" x 5"
CUT FRAMES
Heavyweight white cardstock:
1. Frame: Use 6th and 8th largest Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies (cut four)
2. Reserve one stitched rectangle left over from the center of one of the frames
Patterned paper from the Love You 6x6 Specialty Paper Pack
1. Frame: Use 6th and 8th largest Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies (cut one)
Purple glitter cardstock from the Pastel Glitter A5 Specialty Cardstock Bundle
1. Outer thin frame: Use 6th and 7th largest Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies (cut one)
2. Inner thin frame: Use 8th and 9th largest Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies (cut one)
ASSEMBLE FRAME
Glue all four of the heavyweight white cardstock frames together in a stack, lining up the edges.
Next, glue the patterned paper frame on top of the white stack.
Finally, adhere the thin inner and outer glitter frames.
ADHERE LAYERS
Glue the front layering panel cut from patterned paper to the card base.
Now let’s work with the inside layering panels. Adhere the lightweight white cardstock panel to the medium purple shimmer cardstock panel.
Add the inside embellishing strip cut from patterned paper and the thin one cut from medium purple cardstock.
Lastly, add a mauve mirror pin stripe peel-off sticker.
ADD STAMPED SENTIMENTS & BUTTERFLY
Stamp a large sentiment from the Making Memories stamp set in purple ink on the reserved stitched rectangle leftover from the center of one of the frames. Adhere it to the card front inside the frame.
Stamp the small butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in black ink, color it in shades of purple, and fussy cut it. Bend it slightly and adhere it to the upper right corner inside the frame.
Stamp a leafy image and inside sentiment, also from the Making Memories stamp set, in purple ink on a scrap piece of lightweight white cardstock and cut it with the 5th smallest die in the Stitched Rectangle Nested Cutting Dies. Adhere it to the inside panel.
COMPLETE PROJECT
Add a few purple gemstones to the card front, inside the frame.
Adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card base, and this will complete the project.
