HERE FOR YOU FAUX TRIPLE FOLD
Hey everybody, I hope you’re having a fabulous week! I have to ask what the weather is like where you are? It’s warm and humid here, and perfect for being indoors in the air conditioning (crafting, of course)! Leslie here sharing a tutorial for making a faux triple fold card featuring our Happy Days paper, Chrysanthemum die, Bumble Bee die, and Best Friends Forever stamps, all from our July release, along with an additional stamp set and gemstones from the store. This is a simple fun fold that really packs a punch! Let’s get started!

CUT THE CARD BASE & LAYERS
GRAY CARDSTOCK:
1. Card base: 5-1/2” x 11”, scored at 1-3/4”, 5-1/2” and 9-3/4”
WHITE CARDSTOCK:
1. Inside sentiment panel: 4” x 5-1/4”
PATTERNED PAPER (FROM HAPPY DAYS 6X6 PAPER PACK):
1. 3-5/8” x 5-3/8” left front
2. 1-5/8” x 5-3/8” center front
3. 1-1/8” x 5-3/8” right front
4. 1” x 5-14” inside embellishing strip
DIE CUT THE ELEMENTS
Die cut the chrysanthemum from gray cardstock.
Next, die cut the bumble bee from black and yellow cardstock.
ADHERE THE LAYERS
Begin by folding the gray card base in half, and then fold the smaller flaps toward the left.
Next, adhere the 3-5/8” x 5-3/8” patterned paper to the left front.
Similarly, adhere the 1-5/8” x 5-3/8” patterned paper to the center front.
Finally, adhere the 1-1/8” x 5-3/8” patterned paper to the right front.
Now adhere the 1” x 5-14” inside embellishing strip to the left side of the white cardstock panel cut for the inside sentiment.
ASSEMBLE THE CARD
Adhere the left flap flat against the card base. This gives the illusion of two flaps on the left side but there’s really only one, hence the name of this fun fold.
Glue the chrysanthemum die cut to the card front. Cut the original flower die cut into two pieces so it lays flat on the seam of the flap. Die cut a second flower (just the right side), line it up with the original flower, and adhere it to the right flap so the flower appears to be whole when the card is closed.
Next, add a tiny panel of vellum beneath each wing of the bumble bee die cut for a little extra 'something-something'. Then adhere the bee over top of the flower, popped up on an adhesive foam square.
Affix three half-circles of Velcro to the right side to keep the card closed.
STAMP THE SENTIMENTS
Stamp the front sentiment from the We Are Stamp Set in the lower left corner of the card front in black ink.
Next, stamp the inside sentiment from the Best Friends Forever Stamp Set on the white cardstock sentiment panel.
COMPLETE THE PROJECT
Add a few pink gemstones from the Tropical Escapes Mix Size Gems in random fashion on the card front.
Adhere the white cardstock sentiment panel to the inside of the card base.
