Hey everybody, a very happy Wednesday to you - I hope you’re having a great week! Have you ever heard of a hidden gate fold card? I’m a huge fun fold fanatic and hadn’t heard of this one until recently, so (of course) I had to make it! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for this hidden gate fold card featuring papers, dies, stamps and an assortment of embellishments from our October Autumn Breeze release (and some already in the store). I think you’re really going to like this card, so let’s get started!

CUT CARD BASE & LAYERS

GREEN CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Card base: 5-1/4” x 10-3/4”, scored at 1-1/4”,  3-1/4”, 7-1/2” and 9-1/2”
Top-folding card element: 3-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”

PATTERNED PAPER (FROM A SPOT OF AUTUMN PAPER PACK):
Narrow vertical panels (red/white dotted): 1” x 5” (cut 4)
Vertical panels (floral): 1-3/4” x 5” (cut 4)
Front panel (plaid): 3” x 5-1/4” (cut 1)

WHITE CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Inside sentiment panel: 3” x 5-1/4”




ADHERE LAYERS

On the front of the card base, adhere the four narrow vertical panels cut from the red and white dotted paper.

Next, adhere two of the four vertical panels cut from the floral paper.

Finally, adhere the front panel to the top-folding card element. 




On the back of the card base, adhere the other two vertical panels cut from the floral paper.

Also adhere the inside sentiment panel (cut from white cardstock) to the inside of the top-folding card element. 




ADD SENTIMENTS & EMBELLISHMENTS

Using the stamp set from the A Spot of Autumn Stamp and Stencil, stamp the front sentiment in green ink in the lower right corner of the top-folding card element. 

Next, using the Autumn Breeze Flourish Steel Cutting Die, cut the embellishment from dark green cardstock and adhere it to the front panel.




Affix a strip from the A Spot of Autumn Mini Stickers across the top of the inside sentiment panel.

Next, affix a sentiment and two small hearts from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers to the panel.




ASSEMBLE CARD

Open the flaps on the card base and adhere the top-folding card element, lining up the bottom edges and centering it across the middle of the card base. 




COMPLETE PROJECT

Adhere three flowers of your choice (I used the Sunkissed Aurora Blooms from the September 2025 Super Kit) to the vine in random areas. 

Use a dark yellow marker to color in the leaves on the stamped sentiment for some subtle interest. 




The final step is adding two Pin Stripe Tangerine Orange with Gold Finish Peel-Off Stickers to the outside edges of the narrow side flaps.
