Cozy Quilt-Inspired Retirement Cards
There's something so comforting about the intricate textures of crochet and quilting, and today’s card trio is inspired by exactly that! Using the beautiful Love You patterned papers from Love From Lizi's March 2025 Release, I created a set of cozy and elegant retirement cards. These designs highlight the soft, homey feel of crochet work and quilting patterns, complete with wax seals and crochet yarn for added texture and charm.
Whether you're celebrating a friend's next chapter or simply love working with pretty patterns and mixed textures, these cards are sure to inspire.
Project Overview
Each of these retirement cards is built around the same simple but elegant design. By swapping out the patterned papers and wax seal colors, you can easily create a cohesive set with variety. The Love You 6x6 Specialty Paper Pack features delicate designs, some of which resemble hand-stitched quilts, and the addition of white crochet yarn brings out that cozy, handmade vibe. To top it off, I used the Spring Bloom Sealing Wax Stamper and some wax from the Ocean Sealing Wax Candles set (as well as wax beads from my own stash) to create beautiful, dimensional focal points.
