Hey everybody, happy October – I want to know how it got here so fast! What kinds of crafts are you making this time of year? It’s a little bit of everything for me! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for a double flap fun fold featuring papers and embellishments from the October Autumn Breeze release (and some already in the store). It’s an amazing release, and even though it’s Autumn/Fall themed, I thought ‘outside the box’ and created a fun friendship card that could be used for a variety of occasions. I have to tell you that I’ve made a lot of fun folds over the years – and there have been quite a few that I said were the ‘easiest ever’ – but this one really IS the easiest ever to make! Let’s get started!




These are the products I used on my project:
A Spot of Autumn 6x6 Paper Pack
A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers
A Spot of Autumn Mini Stickers 
Stitched Label Nested Cutting Dies
Tropical Escapes Mixed Size Gems


CUT CARD BASE & LAYERS

BLACK CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Card base: 4-1/4” x 7-3/4”, scored at 5-1/2”
Front sentiment label die cut: Use 5th largest die in set

PATTERNED PAPER (FROM A SPOT OF AUTUMN PAPER PACK):
Short panel (floral): 2” x 4”
Background panel (grid): 4” x 5-1/4”
Front sentiment label die cut (pink wood): Use 6th largest die in set

WHITE CARDSTOCK (FROM STASH):
Inside sentiment label die cut: Use 6th largest die in set




ADHERE LAYERS

Adhere the short panel (floral) to the short flap on the left side of the card base.

Next, adhere the background panel (grid) to the large background section on the card base.

Finally, adhere the front sentiment label die cut (pink wood) to the slightly larger label cut from black cardstock. This will become the second flap. Apply adhesive to the left side of the second flap and adhere it to the short flap on the left side of the card base. 




Adhere the inside sentiment label die cut to the large background section, ensuring it’s hidden behind the second flap on the front. 




ADD SENTIMENTS & EMBELLISHMENTS

Affix a sentiment, flower cluster, and hearts from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers to the second flap on the front. 




Affix an additional sentiment from the A Spot of Autumn Thicker Stickers along with a tiny sentiment and two hearts from the A Spot of Autumn Mini Stickers to the inside sentiment label die cut. 




Adhere a narrow strip cut from the grid patterned paper to the left side of the short flap to tie in the background panel. 




COMPLETE PROJECT

Adhere a few white gemstones from the Tropical Escapes Mixed Size Gems. Your double flap fun fold is complete!
